I was shocked when I saw my interior walls were insulated with fiberglass, so I was not thrilled when I got into the attic to run some cat 6 cables and realized I was not prepared. I ordered this tool because I knew I just had to punch through the fiberglass and pull the wire through the wall. This was very easy and compared to more expensive and more complicated approaches this worked extremely well and was at a very good price. I have no doubts that this will work for more projects in the future.
I mean is a fiberglass “fishing” rod what else can I to someone that know its intended use that they don’t know already. For the biggest benefit is the flexibility of use other rods come in 36” and 48” sections, this one comes in 12” sections therefore making a better flexibility of use. For some people this come without saying but should you have the need to twist or turn the rod always, always, always do it clockwise if you do it counter clockwise you run the change of the rod coming apart inside the wall or ceiling.
Use it to add a new outlet. Never used something like this until today. Took some practice but eventually got the new wires ran. The hook attachment is what saved me.Nice, thin, pretty strong, easy to add or remove length as needed. Bunch of attachments didn't realize I was getting so that was nice.
