An easy-playing 24-fret rosewood fingerboard rests upon a super-stable 3-piece maple neck. Spector TonePump Active Preamp with internal boost
The Euro5 LX includes a TonePump active preamp with an internal boost trimpot. This preamp employs JFET-based circuitry rather than op-amps, which yields many tube-like characteristics. When you overdrive an op-amp (something that happens at the peak of nearly every note you play), it clips and needs a moment to recover. This results in a perceptible tone loss. Like tubes, the TonePump’s JFET-based circuitry doesn’t do this. Rather, it softly distorts, producing a second harmonic that fuses seamlessly into your note. Beyond that, the first signal after the peak comes through loud and clear, with no recovery time required. Active EMG humbucking pickups are built to groove
The Spector Euro5 LX comes loaded with a pair of EMG active humbucking pickups with ceramic magnets and steel pole pieces.
