Scarce vintage entertainment advertising: THERESA GREEN, SOPRANO - issued by Columbia Artists Management in the early-to-mid 1950's. This flyer or handbill measures 7x10 inches, and has biographical information and performance reviews on one side, and her photo on the other. Theresa Green Coleman, noted Soprano and Opera Singer, recently died at age 95. (JULY 2020). Having achieved both national and international acclaim throughout the late 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s; she received the prestigious Marian Anderson Award, scholarships to study at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Julliard School of Music, a debut concert at New York City’s Town Hall, an invitation to sing at the Inaugural Concert of Pres. Lyndon Johnson, and multiple performances under some of the world’s greatest conductors (Bernstein, Leinsdorf, Zimbalist, H. Mitchell, others). Very scarce promotional material - I can't find anything like it online; probably only sent to those in the entertainment business. We have several other items from the same collection also listed this week.
Condition: VG+ (it has two horizontal creases, tape to top corners, one 1/8-inch edge tear).
