They were named “haystack” due to their shape resembling the style of haystacks in the 18th century. The maker “Farron & Jackson Limited” is marked at the top rim. They made metalware for Brewers and Wine Merchants from 1798 to 1940.  A lead government seal for volume inspection is on the inside of the spout.   The pitcher is in sturdy used condition with expected signs of use: tarnish, stains, and dents. Note the handle and the base edge. Please look at the photographs as they are considered part of the description.
