Description
For your consideration is a nice, CBS Fullerton era 1978/80 Fender Jazz Bass, (1978 serial number with 1980 dated electronics) with a very dark rosewood (almost looks like Brazilian!) fretboard, maple neck on an original black finish body.No extra routes, or funny business underneath the pick guard. Frets have lots of life left, neck is pretty straight with low action and truss rod turns as it should.
Bass is all original (tuning keys, pickguard, bridge, thumb rest, electronics, knobs, screws etc...) to my knowledge, pots dated to 1980 with original grey bottom pickups.
Bass has usual marks, scuffs, scratches etc.. for being over 40 years old, so not a museum piece or closet queen, but a nice instrument to play or collect.
On the heavy side at approx. 12lbs. Bottom has 2 small areas where the finish has stuck to the case material or something, but not uncommon for late 70's and early 80's factory Fender finishes.
No chrome covers or case cometh with this bass.
Will ship with body and neck detached and packed very securely. I have learned from experience, this shipping method prevents broken necks, damage, mishandling etc..
Need to thin the herd, so to speak and getting along in my years, so heavy basses aren't too welcome on my old shoulders anymore! hahha!
Also, please note what I consider low action might be interpreted by someone else differently, that being said, bass should be setup the way you are accustomed to playing after you receive it.
Please ask all questions prior to bidding or purchase, as item is sold as is, as pictured, due to pre-owned, used nature of instrument.

Thanks for looking.
